Decided to keep a record of all the media vocab thats thrown at us throughout the course.. just so that when it comes to exams i can wow the examiners with my amazing mediawords!!
Verisimilitude - trying to create a believable/plausable sense of reality
Mise en scene - everything that is conveyed in a frame taken from a peice of media
Enigma code - a mysterious symbol
Narrative - how the story is told
Hypodermic model - an intended message which is directly received and accepted by the receiver (audience)
Uses and gratifications - the idea that people are not helpless victims of all powerful media, but use media to fulfill their various needs.
Cinematography - is the discipline of making lighting and camera choices when recording photographic images for the cinema.

This is an excellent idea. Maybe we should start a Wiki on Moodle, so that we can all build up a useful glossary for revision? I'm impressed by your dedication. Well done!
